❏ Fixing H________ on Christ:

1 Peter 1:10-13 (ESV)

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the
grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11
inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was
indicating when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the
subsequent glories. 12 It was revealed to them that they were serving
not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced
to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy
Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.

13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being
sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to
you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Westminster Shorter Catechism
#27 Q: Wherein did Christ's humiliation consist?
A: Christ's humiliation consisted in His being born, and that in a low condition,
made under the law, undergoing the miseries of this life, the wrath of God, and
the cursed death of the cross; in being buried, and continuing under the power
of death for a time.

#28 Q: Wherein consisteth Christ's exaltation?
A: Christ's exaltation consisteth in His rising again from the dead on the third day,
in ascending up into heaven, in sitting at the right hand of God the Father, and in
coming to judge the world at the last day.

Luke 24:25 And He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all
that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer
these things and enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the
Prophets, He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
